The information we collect
Through our forms
- Get a quote: the type of request (business or personal), the services concerned, your situation, your current bill amount and contract end date (optional), your postal code, your name, business name (optional), phone, email (optional), preferred call time and message (optional).
- Stop calls: your phone number and, if you wish, your name.
- Apply (Careers page): your name, email, phone, your résumé and, if you wish, a few words about yourself.
- Contact us: the subject, your name, email, company and phone (optional) and your message.
We never ask for your bill through this website.
During our calls on behalf of providers
When we call on behalf of a telecommunications service provider, that provider generally gives us your contact information (name, phone number and, where needed, information about your services). On request, we tell you the source of your information.
During your visit
This website uses no advertising cookies or audience measurement tools. Our host processes technical data (IP address, browser type) needed for the site to work securely.
Why we use it
- To respond to your request and call you back.
- With your consent, to share your request with the relevant providers to check the options available at your address.
- To add your number to our internal do-not-call list when you ask.
- To process your job application and call you about it.
- Only with your separate, optional consent, to send you information and offers by email. Each email includes an unsubscribe link.
We collect only the information needed for these purposes and do not use it for other purposes without your consent.
Your consent
Each consent is requested separately, for a specific purpose. No box is pre-checked. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the person in charge.
Who can access it and who we share it with
- Within Prime Telecom: only the people handling your request.
- The telecommunications service providers concerned by your request, with your consent.
- Our service providers, bound by contract and only for the service they provide: Cloudflare (website hosting and bot protection) and Resend (delivery of the emails containing requests).
We do not sell your personal information.
Communication outside Québec
Our service providers may process or host information outside Québec, including in the United States. Before such a communication, we assess the privacy factors and ensure adequate protection by contract.
Retention and destruction
We keep your information as long as needed for the purposes stated, then destroy or anonymize it. A number on our internal do-not-call list is kept as long as the list requires.
Security
The website is accessible only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to requests is limited to authorized people. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned.
Your rights
- Know what information we hold about you, obtain a copy and have it corrected.
- Know the source of your information.
- Withdraw your consent.
- Receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.
Write to the person in charge at info@primetelecom.ca with the subject “Privacy request”. We respond within 30 days of receiving your request.
Complaints
Send your complaint in writing to the person in charge. We acknowledge it, review it and reply in writing. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (opens in a new tab).
Minors
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about people under 14. If you believe we hold such information, write to the person in charge and we will destroy it.
Changes
We publish any change to this policy on this page, with its update date.
